Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we hold it, and the control you keep over it.
This policy explains how Salt & Swell handles personal data when you visit saltandswellprints.com or place an order. We collect only what we need to run the studio, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Information we collect
When you buy a print, we collect the details required to fulfil the order: your name, delivery address, email address and the contents of your order. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence so we can help you. When you browse the site, our systems may log standard technical information such as your device type, browser and approximate region.
Payments
Card and payment details are entered directly with a third-party payment processor and are handled under that processor's own security standards. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the billing information needed for our records.
Order fulfilment
Because prints are made to order, we share the delivery name and address with our European print partner so your order can be produced and posted. That information is used solely to complete your order and for no other purpose.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to measure, in aggregate, how visitors move through the pages. Analytics data is used to improve the site and is not tied to your identity. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then behave differently.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or the wider EEA, data protection law gives you the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to ask us to erase it. You may also object to certain uses of your data or request a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
How long we keep data
We retain order and correspondence records for as long as needed to support you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which the data is deleted or anonymised.
